It's always dull and sad when it comes to day to bid goodbye.
A good friend of mine is leaving soon,
heading to Adelaide to further his study in University of South Australia
We first thought that we could finish our AUP corse and further our study in Iowa State University in Iowa, USA.
Somehow he could not make it to USA, and myself too, couldn't make it to Iowa State University.
Well, he has chosen a better path a better major which suits him more, I believe.
So do I, I've got myself into another university which is generally high-ranked, especially in my major, Aerospace Engineering.
We lost something but we do earn something too.
Back to the friendship of us,
everything starts with a question.
"What's your surname?" asked by me and my ex together back in CHM151 class in January 08'.
We were still studying in Inti Penang Old Campus.
Soon, the friendship develops, through yum cha session(tea session?) in 'Roti Bakar Kopitiam'.
We spent a lot of time together discussing and exchanging opinions, and also encouraging each other.
Friendship grows and becomes the so call 'brotherhood'.
He is one of the best friend I've ever met so far, in fact, he is my soul mate.
Although it sounds gerli to say so, but hey, when u're down u're in trouble, how many friends of yours could stay awake for whole night, to sit at the roadside and accompany you for talks, for encouragement, where he is having 8am class the next morning?
This is just one of the 'situations' we have encountered, but it makes me realize that it's worth to have such a friend and a true good friend will never betray you. =)
We did go to Langkawi to do our Cultural Anthropology together, which got 14 marks out of 15, and regularly presented again and again by our Lecturer, Dr.Kimura in Inti Penang Open Day, and by myself, in Cultural Exchange Program with students & professors from United States.
We also spent a good holidays in Hong Kong together, back in November 2008. We both went to Hong Kong for a 5 days 4 nights trip. Nevertheless, we had some really good times there=D
He has went back to Taiping and seldom come to Penang nowadays.
But once he is in Penang, he will call me up and surely we will have some good time together again.
Be it a lunch, a dinner, a yum cha sesssion, or even to make myself drunk in Sega, Autocity! haha!
Hey bro, sincerely I hope that you will do well in your study in Adelaide and enjoy the life there.
10th July 2009 is approaching. No matter how, I will be there in airport to bid goodbye to you on that day. Best of luck in all your endeavors, Junyi =)
One day I will fly to Adelaide to meet you up when I have the ability and do visit me in Florida when you have the ability yea bro =D
